Whitelisting

When a brand runs ads through your handle. It is not the same as handing over the file, and it should be priced separately.

Whitelisting (often: spark ads, branded content ads, partnership ads) is when a brand runs paid media from or through your account, so the ad still looks like you.

Platform terminology changes. On Meta products, this workflow is currently called a partnership ad; other platforms use their own permission and ad formats.

They need access or a platform partnership permission. Your comments, your face, your handle in the ad unit.

Why it is not “just boosting”

Boosting their *own* post of your file is usage. Whitelisting puts spend on your identity. Audience quality, comment load, and brand-safety sit on you.

How to price it

A time-boxed add-on (30/60/90 days), not “included with the Reel.” If they want both organic post + whitelist + file usage, that is three lines.

Usage rights · Paid partnership

For the current Meta workflow, see its guidance on using existing branded content in Reels ads.
